The Algonquin Wolves Women's Rugby Sevens team hits the road this weekend, traveling to Belleville for their first tournament of the 2025-26 OCAA season. The event will be hosted by Loyalist College on Saturday, September 13, where the Wolves will face the St. Lawrence Surge, Durham Lords, and Loyalist Lancers.

After narrowly missing the podium last year, Algonquin enters the new season with big ambitions. The Wolves will be tested right away against a tough slate of opponents. Durham and St. Lawrence claimed OCAA gold and silver last season, while Loyalist split their season series with Algonquin in 2024-25. The Wolves will look to flip the script after going winless against Durham and St. Lawrence last year.

This year's roster features a strong mix of returning talent and emerging players. Leading the charge are third-year forward Morgan Payne and second-year winger Faiza Faucher-Ahmed, who will be key figures in guiding the Wolves through their opening matches.
